(OOC: Woot! First thread! Remember to keep it slow, people. It's an introductory thread. c: By the way, the guests are entering through the courtyard, so we’re starting out there)
Cracking his knuckles as he always did when he passed through the extensive hallways of the hotel, the gypsy pushed the polished wooden doors outwards, bringing in bright light from the sun. It shone straight into the reception room, where a well-dressed, pink-haired man sat, chewing absentmindedly on a pen cap. “Oh hello, Clopin!” he suddenly said, waving at the gypsy. Clopin smiled at Bob, and waved back at him. Bob then returned to chewing on that pen cap, while reviewing some papers that were in front of him.
A bellman stood outside in the courtyard, finishing up his last cigarette, before brushing off his red coat, and making himself look presentable to the oncoming group. Soon enough, a few others joined the lone bellman, knowing that the amount of luggage brought would be much too much for one man. Back inside, the head chef was preparing a complimentary meal in the dining hall for the new guests…today’s special was Alaskan salmon, with a brandishing of mango salsa.
The drink to go along with it was pink champagne on ice.
Clopin himself strode outside, making sure that preparations were in order. The letters had indeed been received and accepted; he could see quite a number of guests making their way towards the hotel. The sign that hung over the door read “GRAND OPENING! WELCOME ONE AND ALL!” Content with that for now, the gypsy turned on his heel, heading straight back for his part-time job at the hotel: being a masseuse. There was absolutely no doubt that one of the new guests would love that, no? Relaxing in the spa was indeed…well…relaxing.
Meanwhile, in the staff room, Q sat, hunched over a few papers scattered across his desk. While he didn’t care so much about what happened to mortals and the supernatural, he cared about this hotel’s reputation. The “MISSING” signs that lay across the desk weren’t helping at all. All he could do was keep the guests distracted enough to not notice the strange and unusual.
It had started happening some time ago. First, it began with the disappearance of their receptionist. Then some of their cooks. Then the bellmen. And now, one of the hotel managers. He could not bear with this anymore.
With that, the god strode out, not even giving the papers a second glance. He met the gaze of Fellow Insanity, offering the other a brief nod. “Come now, Fellow. We’ve got new guests to meet.” Q said, trying to retain an enthusiastic attitude.
We are programmed to receive…

Blue Star followed the pathway towards the hotel's courtyard. Tucking a lock of hair behind her ear she kept her senses alert. She didn't know any of these people, certainly not enough to trust any of them by far. Glancing around she felt calm in the surrounding area. How could it be that this place seemed so off to her, yet seemed to calm her as well?
Shaking the question away she crossed her arms and made a mental check of all the weapons she had with her. Not including the ones hidden in the backpack settled on her shoulders. She noticed a few other guests gathered and made her way to them, making sure to stay on the outside with her back protected as she could get it.

"Wow..."
As Maka made her way out into the courtyard, she couldn't help but marvel at the sights she was beholding. It certainly was spectacular. Trees, flowers, plenty of grass... Maka was certain that this place would be perfect for when she needed a break from whatever she was doing and wanted to come somewhere to read in peace. But her thoughts shifted from that to why she was there. The blonde wouldn't pretend she had any real knowledge of why she was invited out to the grand opening. After all, up until that point Maka hadn't even known that the hotel had existed at all. Since it did, and since she had been invited, she had decided it would be worth looking into. Now that she was there Maka wasn't regretting her decision. She had a feeling she was going to like being there, even if she didn't entirely understand the reasoning behind her being brought there.
It wasn't long before Maka spotted someone else in the courtyard. To be more specific, it was a woman with blue hair. Maka wasn't entirely familiar with her, but that was about to change. She felt it was high time that she actually introduce herself. After all, if she just stood around then nothing was going to happen. Maka didn't want that to be the case. So, upon shifting her grip on her suitcase, Maka made her way toward Blue Star.
"Hi. It looks like we're the first ones here, so I thought I should come over and say hello." Maka said. How Blue Star reacted had yet to be determined, but she seemed friendly enough. What could go wrong?

Blue Star looked down at her little brother's friend. She wasn't sure if she should acknowledge the girl. It wasn't that she had anything against the girl, she just wasn't sure if she should risk introducing herself to the blonde. After all she wasn't really suppose to be alive. Sighing she ran a hand through her blue locks before looking down at Maka.
"Hello," she said before shifting her bag on her shoulder.

"Yes sir." The man replied glance at the papers once more before taking a step back and turning. He tailed after Q for a moment before passing him quickly, seemingly eager to greet the guests. After all as a hotel manager it was his job to make their stay the most enjoyable. Slicking his hair back the man looked towards the new reception Bob, and raised a brow. "Bob please stop chewing on that pen top for now." He said with a calm voice that seemed to hold some sort of eagerness but it was heavily hidden under the calm.
He looked towards the doors for a moment and rubbed the scruffness upon his face almost as if wandering what to do. With a calm exhale, he put his arms down towards his side and exited the hotel and entered the courtyard. He looked at the bellman for a moment almost as if eyeing him but it was nothing but a glance. He then looked back towards the group of people who were quickly approaching and a soft, almost gentle smile crossed his features. The guests were here and that meant it was time to shine for each one of them, to make all the experiences memorable. He gave a slightly roll of his shoulders and approached Maka and Blue Star. "Good day Miss Maka, Miss Blue Star." He said calmly, already knowing there names from the invitations. "May I assist you with find your rooms and getting you signed in?"

Before Maka could ask anything of Blue Star, namely what her name was, another voice caught her attention. She turned her attention to Fellow and nodded a little in response to his questions, only realizing a few moments later that he'd said the blue-haired girl's name in the process. Blue Star. It was similar to Black*Star's name, she realized. But that could have been a coincidence. For all Maka knew, there could have just been a coincidence. She was certain that Black*Star didn't have any family left. At least... he'd never mentioned any other family.
"Of course. That would be very helpful if you could." Maka replied. She didn't have much with her, just her suitcase containing clothing, some books, and a couple of other essentials, but it was still nice of Fellow to offer his assistance. Maka set her suitcase down at her feet and stepped back a pace so that it wouldn't be so awkward for the man to take it up when he did. "I guess there really isn't a need for introductions since you seem to know who we are already." Maka said. She supposed it made sense, though. They had sent out invitations to them, after all, so it had to make sense that the hotel personnel knew who they were already.

Blue Star looked at the man who addressed her, a worker for the hotel. She watched Maka step away from her suitcase and looked back towards Fellow. She wasn't going to let him take her bag like Maka seemed so keen to do. Keeping the two in front of her she gave the man a nod.
"Help checking in would be good," she said keeping her eyes trained on not only the two, but the rest of the place as well.

Tanny made her way through the courtyard, her hands in her pockets, her head down and her eyes trained three paces in front of her. She glanced around slightly, keeping her head down as she walked. Everything seemed so peaceful here, she couldn't help but wonder how long it would last. She pulled a hand out of her pocket to look at her palm before joining the others, stopping a good way away. She stared at her palm as it crackled with electricity.
She could feel her atoms moving with the energy ready to get rid of it at her target, whatever she wanted that to be. Amber eyes stayed trained on the energy that she was creating. It was a terrifying concept to her, being able to control and create lightning. Sometimes the element felt alive, eating at her from the inside out. Shaking her head she closed her hand into a fist, concentrating on pushing the power back into a slightly dormant state. She started walking again and reached the group, standing with her arms crossed next to the blonde girl.

Bob paused for a moment, with his teeth still on the pencap. He watched Fellow Insanity and Q walk past him without so much as a reprimand about his chewing. Pouting, the unicorn man set the pen down, and began looking at the papers in front of him. These were the rooms already assigned to all the guests, even if they had decided not to accept the invitation.
"I'm so bored." Bob muttered, running a hand through his hair. "Well, you're going to have to get over that. We've got guests to give rooms to!" Clopin said, swinging by all of a sudden.
"But none of them are even coming inside! They're all standing out there!" Bob said, pointing outside. Clopin only shrugged, and continued on his way back to the spa, as he still had to get things in order there. Bob sighed, and stared outside, waiting for the guests to finally come in, so that he could at least get his job done. He still didn't exactly know how he managed to score this job, but he wanted a better one, like Taylor's job down in the city.
"I've got work tomorrow. Already! My first day here, and I'm going to spend it worrying about my new job." Taylor said. The purple-haired unicorn next to her rolled her eyes, and shook her head.
"At least it's a job. You should be thankful." Sophia said, as she kept up with Taylor's rather fast walking pace. They reached the courtyard, and the unicorn didn't wait up for Taylor, preferring to stand with the rest of the group rather than with her.
"Gee, thanks for waiting." Taylor said, as she caught up to Sophia. The younger unicorn merely nodded, as she turned her head towards Tanny, whom she was standing next to now. Another human. That was just wonderful. But...something was off. She could feel it.
"You're not a normal human, are you?" Sophia asked, with a strikingly calm voice.

Tanny stiffened at the question being asked of her. She glanced at Sophia and had to mentally push down the surge of power that tried to snap off her body at the unicorn. She turned her attention back forward, locking her amber eyes on the hotel. Was she already found out? How did this horse with a horn know that she wasn't a normal human? Taking a deep breath she shrugged her shoulders and glanced at the purple unicorn.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," she muttered, "What does it matter your a unicorn for crying out loud."

Sophia narrowed her eyes at the human, and lowered her head ever so slightly. If she had the choice, she'd impale every human she met on the spot. But it took Bob to convince her that not everyone was crazy for a unicorn's horn.
"It matters because I'm curious." Sophia said. "And what does my own species have to do with my question?" Sophia asked, pawing the ground with a hoof. Taylor noticed the brewing tension between Sophia and Tanny, and she decided to go on ahead and break it apart before Sophia really went in for the kill. "Sophia, leave her alone. You don't need to go questioning every single human you're suspicious of." Taylor said.
Looking to Tanny, Taylor gave her a small wave, and a grin. "I'm sorry...she does this a lot when her brother's not around to keep her quiet. It's just in her nature to ask questions." Taylor said.

Tanny shrugged at the girl and kept her hands locked down on her arms. She could feel the sparks wanting to get free. She needed to get settled and find a place to train. Training with the powers seemed to help keep them under control. She shook her head again and looked at Taylor. She needed to seem normal, she couldn't risk someone finding out that she was a freak with lightning powers. Gritting her teeth she took another deep breath.
"It's alright. I just don't like getting challenged," she said with a small smirk, "Names Tanny."

The gentlemen gave a slight bow of his head to all of guests and picked up Maka's bag carefully, but at the same time held it firmly. He looked at Taylor, Sophia, and Tanny for a moment, before looking at the whole group. Seems that the guests were arriving fast and that meant he need to be faster with his work. "I will show you all to your rooms n-" He was cut of by a rather loud, snort like sound. He paused and looked towards Maka's side were a very tall man stood. The man seemingly coming out of no where.
The man took the cigarette that was loosely hanging from his lips and puffed out a cloud of smoke. An odd grin on his face seemingly enough. "Well I knew you were working here fox-face but I didn't expect you to be one of those bellhoppers." He said before placing the cancer-stick back into his mouth.
Joseph's smile weakened a bit but it still remained. "Good to see you too Mr.Takanami, and I will have you know I am the manager here but I don't mind helping the guests in anyway possible." He stated with a small sigh. "Now if you all don't mind will you all follow me into the hotel and we can get you all settle in." He said before turning just barely making sure everyone. He glanced at Takanami slightly. "And please leave the smoking outside Mr.Takanami." He said before leading the way towards the hotel.
Takanami ran his fingers through his hair and grunted slightly. "Sure thing fox-face..." He muttered under his breath before taking the cigarette from his mouth again and putting out by rubbing it against the bottom of his shoe. He then threw the no longer light cigarette into the trash and followed after Joseph.

He came out of seemingly no where, behind her. She stiffened and tried not to breath as the man talked and blew smoke out of his mouth. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on where she was. This wasn't her old home, this wasn't that night. She let out her pent up breath and opened her eyes, noticing that the men seemed to know each other. Strange.
Moving away from the man she followed Fellow and tried to ignore the tall man that seemed to dwarf her. She wasn't short by any means, rather she was tall for a woman. That wasn't normal, not in the least.
-
When Tanny saw the men leaving she thought it best to follow them. Giving Taylor and Sophia a jerk of her head she started walking. Her body felt light and charged, over charged. She needed to get rid of the electricity build up and fast. If she didn't make the stuff sub-consciously she would have been fine. Irritating, it was really irritating.
She couldn't hold it in any longer, she felt the presser pushing from inside, threatening to make her explode almost. Electricity snaked around her, she saw the sparks dancing just over her skin. Her limbs were shaky as she tried to continue walking while pushing the current into the ground.
'No one look at me,' she thought as she walked, 'or at least don't notice.'

((Ooc: I apologize for posting so soon guys!))
It was almost as if the man had heard the electricity, he slowed his pace quickly, though it didn't seem like it, evening his pace with Tanny's, and without even a glance towards her he purposely brushed the side of his arm against her though it seemed like it wasn't on purpose.
It was a very quick movement but in the moment the electricity seemingly transferred towards the male and the sparks died down with little notice. He stretched his hand out a little getting rid of the electric energy, and his hair seemed to spike up a bit. He looked at Tanny out of the corner of his eyes and opened his mouth just slightly. "You should learn to control that." He said lowly only to where she could hear it.
