"Well... that was interesting." Maka said quietly once the exchange between Fellow and the other man had finished. Although she wanted to ask what that was about, she felt like it would be better not to know. Instead, she decided to follow Fellow inside since he was showing them to their rooms at last. "I take it we're the first to have made it here? I haven't seen anyone else besides us." Maka said. Perhaps the other guests were just a little behind schedule. Nothing out of the ordinary about that, was there? Soul probably would have questioned it, and Maka did feel a little odd about it, but she wasn't Soul. She was just going to go along with it for the moment.

((ooc: I might bring Pavi in later for this thread, but here's all my characters for now. Also, when Grell is in her butler form, I'll be referring to her as "him," simply because she's playing a part and isn't her usual self.))
If Nathan could pick one thing he hated most about this job (and there were many things to find unpleasant), it was most likely functions like this. Not that he was in a position to complain, of course; but he'd never been good at tasks that required him to interact with people. Other than slicing them open and removing their internal organs, that is. Which, at the moment, seemed like a far more pleasant task than greeting guest and being "social" for the first time in quite awhile.
Trying to push aside the overly negative thoughts, Nathan readjusted his tie as he stepped out into the courtyard, surveying the scene with a sigh of discomfort. Great. People. Lots and lots of people, all of variable species and tastes and personal hygiene choices and a whole mess of other things that made the doctor just a little unnerved when trying to consider all at once.
"Oh, um, excuse me, Mr. Wallace?"
Nathan turned sharply at the meek little voice behind him, senses alerted and on edge at the slightest sound from years of conditioning. The sight that greeted him, however, was thankfully far less threatening than such a reaction might suggest. A shorter, thinner young man dressed in a slightly wrinkled black butler's suit stared up at him through round wire glasses, an almost frightened expression on his nervous face. He was pushing a cart of plates and trays, obviously trying to get through without running into the other, gloved hands tightly gripping the handle of the cart as though he were afraid of what the other might do. Nathan breathed a heavier sigh, rolling his eyes at both his over-alertness and the one presented before him.
"Sorry, Grell," he responded unenthusiastically. Another reason he was beginning to dislike this job; his coworkers. This one in particular. Not only did he act like an incompetent buffoon most of the time, Nathan knew as well as any other staff member that it was all an act. The "real" Grell was far more insufferable than this nervous little glass bird that threatened to slip and shatter at the slightest edge to one's tone.
Eying the very breakable items on the tray, Nathan raised an eyebrow. This would not end well. "...do you need some help with that?" Grell grinned, and Nathan had to resist the urge to roll his eyes once again, reluctantly helping the other push the cart out into the courtyard. This was going to be a long afternoon...
---
"Well, well, well...they certainly don't false advertise, do they?"
Puck smirked to himself, strolling through the courtyard and letting out a low whistle as he admired his ritzy surroundings. Nothing he wasn't used to back home, but it was still a change of scenery from his current residence. And that was what he was here for, wasn't it? A new backdrop, a fresh scene, a new audience that had yet to see his impressive repertoire of mischief and mayhem. For awhile, at least, until his master required him again. Suppressing a grumble at the thought, Puck tried to focus on the good of the situation, and smiled. This was his chance to relax; no need to spend time moping and dreading when it would end.
The courtyard was ridiculously crowded, something that normally wouldn't have been the slightest of problems for the crowd-pleasing trickster, but he felt strangely tired after the trip it had taken to arrive her. Jet lag, he'd told himself, despite the fact that he'd been able to transport himself in only a matter of minutes with little difficulty. Dressed in human clothing, which was really modified variants of his own simple tunic and tights; blue skinny jeans, a purple vest, red and gold hightops, and a striped black and red shirt. It must just be the sudden rush from his powers being so unused up to this point. Breezing through the courtyard as quickly as he could manage through the crowd, Puck showed himself inside, strolling to the front desk with a letter in his hand and a smirk on his face.
Greeted by the rather odd sight of a pink-haired receptionist, Puck chose to be polite for now, clearing his throat to grab the other's attention. Upon glancing, however, Puck could already tell there was something a bit...off about this person, aside from the bizarre fashion statement he seemed to be making.
"Excuse me, but I'm here to check in?"

"Yes you are Miss Maka." Fellow replied glancing at her for the slightest moment before glancing up towards Nathan and Grell. Nathan catching his interest more then Grell, he didn't really focus on that though, he entered the hotel the doorman holding the door open for him and the guest. "First things first people check in with our pink-haired receptionist. He will sign you in and give you your keys." He said gesturing calmly to Bob. He gazed at the guests for a brief moment before looking out towards the doorway again almost as if pondering something but looked back towards the guests and Bob.
Takanami glanced upwards towards the ceiling then towards the desk, and everything else. It swear was fancy enough. It defiantly got his own thoughts going about this vacation though intentionally he really didn't want to go in the first place. "Huh..." The word was said lowly, but it was defiantly clear upon his face that he was somewhat impressed by the hotel already.

Taylor looked to Tanny, but before she could even introduce herself to the other girl, she was off towards the rest of the small crowd that was gathering. “Well…I’m Taylor.” Taylor said, even after Tanny had walked away. She had indeed invited her and Sophia along with a nod of her head, but Taylor had other things to do, and so did Sophia. One of the many tasks that the two of them shared was checking up on one person: Bob.
“Come on, Sophia. We’ve got to make sure your brother isn’t making a complete fool of himself.” Taylor said, with a laugh. “It’s like you read my mind.” Sophia muttered, as she walked alongside Taylor. The two of them bade their brief farewells to Tanny, Fellow, Maka, and Takanami, before entering the hotel itself. Taylor had been inside before, but only for a brief amount of time. This time, she was able to take everything in with one look, and she was amazed. Sophia, having seen better architecture(in her opinion) in her day, merely stepped past the human girl, and strode up to the front desk, where a strange, silver-haired fellow had approached her brother, who was still chewing on that darn pen cap.
Meanwhile, Bob’s attention was seized from the pen cap to Puck. “Oh! Well, hello, y’all!” Bob said, standing up all of a sudden. He noticed that the other guests were coming too, so there was no time for dilly-dally. “’Course, I can check y’all in.” Bob said, taking out a small clipboard. He went down the list, before highlighting Puck’s name, with his room number next to it.
“Kay, y’all! Here’s the key to y’all’s room, which is number 248.” Bob said, handing the small silver key to Puck. It was ornately decorated, as were all the keys for the rooms. But before the pink-haired man could say anything else, he noticed his sister approaching, with Taylor bringing up the rear. “Hay y’all! Taylor, I thought y’all were workin’?” Bob asked. Taylor shook her head, and looked to Sophia.
“Your sister said that I had to help her keep an eye on you. And I agreed.” Taylor said, with a toothy smirk. Bob pouted, and turned away from the two of them. “Well, y’all already have your keys. So don’t bother askin’ me to check in.” he said, crossing his arms. “Oh come on, buddy. You really can’t take it that—“
Taylor was cut off by her sudden glimpse of Puck. He was fairly good-looking, and the poor girl was a sucker for good-looking guys…ever since the “incident”.
“—seriously.” Taylor finished, although her eyes were still glued to Puck. Both unicorn siblings picked up on her sudden change in demeanor, and the two of them began snickering. They knew Taylor well enough. She shot them a glare, before she sauntered up to Puck.
“So, I take it that you’re joining us at the introductory dinner tonight? They’re holding it for all the new guests.” Taylor said. Bob and Sophia had to resist saying anything, so the younger sibling went to Fellow Insanity’s side, to assist him in showing the guests their rooms, while the other went back to checking in all the other guests.

Unbeknownst to the others, Howl had arrived on the premises shortly after they had gone inside. The wizard normally would have liked to make his arrival flashy, just for old time's sake, but somehow found that this time it wasn't entirely worth it. He shrugged his shoulders upon realizing that he was the only one in the courtyard that could readily be seen. I suppose I'll just have to go inside on my own. he thought. Not that it was a problem for Howl. He could handle being by himself for a moment or so.
Wordlessly, Howl lifted his luggage from the ground (where it had briefly been set so he could rest for a moment) and began to walk toward the entrance. It wasn't long before he was inside and looking over the scene. A flamboyant grin appeared on his face when he saw just how many ladies were present at that moment. Married though he was, Howl still couldn't shake his old habits. After all, who could deny the opportunity to see how many women he could charm?
"Well, it certainly appears as though I've found the right place." Howl said. His casual tone didn't betray him, thankfully. The whole idea of seeing who he could charm would have been destroyed if he couldn't successfully appear as casual as possible. "It would have been a shame, and rather embarrassing, if I'd come all this way to find that I'd come to the wrong hotel."

Blue Star watched the procession a little wary about the rooms and such. This place felt off, or at least not what she was expecting it to be. Shaking her head she sighed and glanced around, taking in the beautiful decor. This was way above what she was use to or even deserved. All the same she was hoping to be able to heal her self here. At least enough to the point where she could pass off as a normal person in society.
Upon Howl's entrance the woman turned to face the blonde man. He seemed different that was for sure.
-
Tanny forced herself to keep walking, once they reached the lobby she stopped and watched Takanami closely. How had he taken her discharge? How had he known she was about to release it? This man was someone to keep and eye on, he seemed to know too much. She wasn't sure about how good of an idea it was to come here anymore. Watching Takanami she almost missed the entrance of Howl.

Fellow briefly glanced down at Sophia before looking at the guests hoping they would follow the instructions he had given them. It was simple really just walk up to Bob and ask for your keys and he'd sign you in no big deal right...? He inwardly groaned knowing that this was going to be a long day and as much as he LOVED being helpful and gentlemen like he did get tired especially when he had to put up with Takanami...
He glanced back at Sophia again. "Hello." He said briefly, having had seen her a few times before because of Bob working here. "How are you this fine day Sophia?" He questioned as he gazed at the guests.

Should I really be here? Maybe I should just go back. It's not too late, is it?
In spite of her doubts, Yuki decided to finally step forward and join the other guests inside the hotel. She was still uncertain of why she had been invited to the grand opening in the first place. After all, she was just a plain white cat. Sure she was Lune's fiance. Sure she would be a Princess once she got married. The problem was that Yuki was doubting herself more than she would have liked. She still believed she was a simple stray that the other cats had called too plain to win the Prince's affection. How was she going to fit in with a bunch of people who, presumably, fit in to the high class environment the hotel had to offer better than she did?
What Yuki saw when she entered the hotel did surprise her a bit. No one inside looked particularly fancy. In fact, they looked average for the most part. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all. Maybe Yuki would fit in better than she thought she would. The only way to find out, though, was to make her presence known. She stepped a little closer to the group, rose up on her hind paws so she might be a little more noticeable, and prepared to speak.
"Excuse me. This... is the Hotel Cavalier, isn't it? I haven't come to the wrong place?" she asked. Yuki was fairly certain it was the correct place, but she wanted to make sure. It would be very embarrassing on her part if she had gone in the entirely wrong direction and found somewhere that wasn't the hotel she needed to be at.

As Bob passed the key over to Puck, the fae made sure to meet the receptionist's eyes, expecting to find an answer to this peculiarity that seemed to radiate from the man. He was disguised well enough to fool a human, he supposed, but Puck knew better, as would any other non-mortal. No doubt Bob could see through Puck's own disguise, as simple as he'd made it.
But as Puck caught the other's gaze, he was a little surprised by what he saw there. It was usually fairly obvious to tell through the eyes, though he could almost always sense whether or not they were human by first glace. And it wasn't all that uncommon to spot another immortal in disguise; indeed, they were much more common than humans would ever realize, but it was a bit unusual to see a unicorn walking around in public.
Even more surprising was it to see one without any form of disguise. Puck's eyes widened as he turned around to see a purple-maned unicorn, and a rather pretty young woman following beside her, forcing him into a double take. True, some immortals were more discreet than others, but this was just a little much. Perhaps there was more to this hotel than met the eye.
However, his curiosity was waning as he caught the brunette's eye, his expression returning back to his usual smirk rather quickly. There would be time to question that later, when he wasn't so distracted by everything else surrounding him, or quite so tired. This girl, for one, was rather attractive for a mortal; in a plain, not over-the-top sort of way, with a flirty tone and intrigued look in her eyes. Puck supposed he'd done a poor job of hiding his fae glamourie, not that he'd really tried hiding it, out of sheer vanity. "I just might be stopping by, I suppose. To see if anything catches my eye," he winked, giving a coy little chuckle. Playing Romeo to mortal women was always a romp, especially when he was actually interested. Which he was.
---
Having finished setting up the trays and things with few problems (aside from one or two broken dishes on Grell's part), Nathan had managed to untangle himself from helping the needy butler, making his way briskly back inside the lobby. It seemed that it was quickly filling up with guests, so much that the doctor nearly ran into a few people.
Muttering apologies, he passed by them without paying much attention to any of them, until he'd nearly tripped one of the women near the front. She was walking a bit shakily, it seemed, and he briefly wondered if he'd merely thrown her off balance, or if it was something a bit more serious than that.
"Excuse me, Miss," Nathan cleared his throat, pausing as he stepped out of Tanny's way. Getting a better look at her, he could tell that something definitely seemed long, like she'd just done something that required strong physical exertion. Well, that was what he was for, wasn't it? "Are you alright? You look a bit..dizzy."

Taylor nodded to Puck, as she was rather pleased with his answer. “Well, I’ll be looking forward to seeing you there.” Taylor said, as she began to head on up the staircase. She really had nowhere else to go, (considering that her new job started tomorrow) except for her room, which was Room 240. She gave a look towards Bob for a moment, sensing that the unicorn was already trying to play matchmaker, by giving Puck his own room several doors down from hers. So it was only logical that he’d probably follow her up there to settle down in his room.
Bob, meanwhile, had the clipboard and highlighter in his hand, ready to go for the next guest. Sophia looked to Fellow Insanity, and gave a brief nod. “I’m quite alright…just a little bored, I suppose.” Sophia said, as her gaze fell upon the other guests who were coming in. “If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, I’d be willing to help out in showing the guests their rooms, so that you don’t have to do so much work.” Sophia said.

Joseph, even though he could probably handle the guests perfectly on his own, was more then happy with the offer of help. An actual genuine smile of happiness crossed his features softly. He glanced back down at Sophia and gave one soft nod. "Yes please, I would thoroughly appreciate it Miss Sophia." He said with a genuine relief in his voice. As much as he loved helping people out when he could he didn't want to exhaust himself already especially since there were many events happening today that he had to prepare for.
He paused hearing the voice of Yuki and glanced over her gave a firm nod though he wasn't sure if she saw it or not. "It is Hotel Cavalier Miss Yuki, welcome." He said before spotting Howl also. "Welcome also Mr.Howl." He said calmly.

Sophia nodded towards Fellow, and looked to the new guests who had come in, particularly Yuki and Howl. "Well, if you don't mind, I'll take on these two guests." Sophia said, as she strolled off to meet them. She bowed her head towards Yuki in a show of respect, before confirming what Fellow had said.
"Yes, this is indeed the Hotel Cavalier. You've made it to the right place." Sophia said, with a genuine smile. She then turned her attention towards Howl. "You've also made it to the right place. But before we can get you both settled nicely into your rooms, we'll have to have you check in with our receptionist first, so that he can give you the keys." Sophia said, pointing a hoof towards her brother.
"After that, I will show you both to your rooms." Sophia said, leading the two of them towards Bob.

"It's Yuki, actually." Yuki corrected shortly after Fellow directed his attention to her. It seemed the man knew her name already, and the blonde man's name as well. She felt her skin crawl a bit at that notion. For some reason it just creeped her out that someone actually knew who she was before she had even introduced herself. She dropped to all fours again, tentatively licking a paw to try and relax a bit, before noticing Sophia approaching her and Howl. The feline didn't quite know what to make of Sophia's appearance. She'd never seen a unicorn before, after all. Howl also appeared intrigued, but the man wasn't saying anything. So Yuki took it upon herself to speak.
"Thank you, Miss." was all Yuki could really manage to say. She didn't quite know what else to add to her statement in the first place. Before she could see if Howl had decided to speak or not, she approached the location Bob was at and rose on her hind paws again so the pink-haired man could see her better and so he could give her her key without much of a problem. "My name is Yuki. I uh... I'll be needing my key, please?" she asked.
----
"So, I take it you work here then?" Howl asked. It wasn't very often that one ran into a unicorn. Even with Howl's traveling about in an effort to run away as much as he had in the past, he'd never encountered such a creature. He did think it was a rather interesting encounter, too. He'd have to write to Sophie and tell her about it. "I didn't think I'd be seeing a unicorn when I came here. It's very nice to meet you." he said.
----
Maka, on the other hand, was returning her attention to Fellow. Since Yuki was keeping Bob occupied for the moment, she decided it would be best to retrieve her key from Fellow. After all, the man had said he would take her to her room. It only seemed right to take him up on that and ask him for her key. "So, I guess I'm next to get a key then. You already know who I am, so it shouldn't be too hard, right?" Maka asked.

Puck smirked a little at the response. She had style, he’d give her that. Tucking the silver key into his pocket, Puck followed a short ways behind the girl, carrying a lightweight bag by his side as he headed up the stairway. He didn’t attempt to catch up with her at first, not wanting to appear as though he were interested; whether or not he actually was was a question he’d keep to himself.
About halfway up the stairs, however, he decided to casually speak to her. “You’re pretty bold, for someone who hasn’t even asked a person’s name,” he teased, catching up to her rather in a few quick steps. “Didn’t your unicorn friends tell you that it’s rude to flirt with someone you don’t even know?” He kept his gaze forward, the same little smirk never leaving his face as he waited for some sort of reply.

Sophia was rather amused by the soft-spoken cat, and how easily she seemed to be able to stand on her hind legs. Even Sophia herself couldn’t do that, unless she assumed a human form. “It’s my pleasure.” Sophia said.
The purple-maned unicorn then turned to Howl, and tilted her head a bit as she listened to his observations.
“Well, I don’t really work here. My...” she looked at Bob for a brief moment before continuing, “ …one of my family members works here, and I’m just helping him out, so that we can get things moving along, and so that you all can have your much needed rest.” Sophia said, bowing her head slightly.
“But it’s quite nice to meet you as well, Howl.” Sophia said, smiling at him.
Meanwhile, Bob politely highlighted Yuki’s name on the list, and turning his back to her for a moment, he grabbed a key, handing it to the pure white cat. “Here’s your key, y’all. Your room is number 135.” Bob said. “Sophia’ll be showin’ y’all to your room.” Bob said.
--- At Puck’s last question, Taylor stiffened up, and slowly turned around to face him, eyes wide with shock.
“Alright…I get the bold part. But…besides the fact that Sophia hasn’t even put up a disguise, how did you know that the receptionist is a unicorn too?” Taylor asked, a little worried at how easily this guy had seen past Bob’s disguise. She had to wonder if he was one of those specialized “hunters”, and she was careful to choose her next words.
Returning back to her flirtatious image, so as not to put off Puck, Taylor continued on. “I guess it was a little rude of me and all to not even introduce myself. The name’s Taylor. Taylor Ruse. And you are?” she asked.
