00I. full name: Taylor Ruse
0II. canon or original: Original
III. years of age: 22
0IV. gender: Female
00V. orientation(optional): Straight
0VI. occupation: Works as a waitress at an Italian restaurant by day, but holds an occupation as an assassin at night.
0I. body type She’s rather slender and lanky, like Clopin. She’s got well-toned muscles, however, from handling all the blades that she deals with on a nightly basis, and from having to run away so often, to escape the police.
0II. physical descriptionTaylor has medium-length auburn hair, with a cowlick at the top. Her clothes consist of a sky-blue t-shirt, with a smiling sun printed onto the front. The sun's expression commonly changes with her own. So if Taylor is angry, the sun will be angry as well. One noticeable feature are her two canine teeth, which are extremely sharp. (no, she's not a vampire or werewolf. They are just sharp.) She also wears black shorts, yellow Converse, and a necklace with a simple silver pendant. She’s almost always got some sort of active clothing on, clothing that she can easily make a break in. She doesn’t care much for class rankings, but if she did choose to identify, it would be middle class, as that’s where she’s been her whole life. She has a spotless(no pun intended) record of personal upkeep, often scrubbing things raw just to have them as clean as they can be. In a room full of people, Taylor often tends to hang back, at least until someone integrates her into the crowd.
III. height 5'8
0IV. weight 120 lbs
00V. eye color Dark brown
0VI. extra She’s quite skilled with her dagger and pistol. Her downfall is her OCD, due to events from the past. It clashes greatly with her often bloody job. Bob’s acting as her therapist for that, but it’s progressing very, very slowly. Taylor also has tendencies to be a little cynical and jaded, not to mention having a very spitfire personality.
00I. overall personality Reserved for the most part, because of her time in jail. However, once she really gets to know a person, or several people, she has a lot of spunk, and is not afraid of speaking up. She also has a mischievous and curious nature, which gets her into quite a lot of trouble sometimes. However, Taylor also has her personal demons, in which she can come off as sarcastic, cynical, and jaded. In all honesty, she really hates having to show any sort of submission, or that she needs help. Even if she’s on the verge of death, she’ll still admit that she can carry on. She can also be pretty deceiving at times, thus her last name “Ruse”.
0II. strengths As it was mentioned before, Taylor is skilled with her dagger and pistol. Of course, the skills didn’t come overnight, but soon enough, she realized that weapons was something she was good at. She’s rather loyal to her close friends…for the most part. She has more perseverance than many, and more sheer endurance than most.
III. weaknesses She’s quick to hold grudges, and won’t let go of it for a very long time. She is definitely stubborn, and easily adapting to new situations is a very hard process for her.
0IV. goals All Taylor wants is to stop running away from everything. She wishes that the murder had never happened, that the clock could reverse. But reality comes in, saying it isn’t possible. And she knows it. All Taylor wants is a chance to redeem herself.
00I. notable family & friends
- Bob(close friend)
- Jenna(childhood friend)
- Clopin(close friend)
- Puck(close friend)
The rest will be determined in the RP.
0II. overall history
Taylor is twenty-two at the current moment, although she could pass for a teenager. She’s not super tall, but she isn’t too short either. She lived in Chicago for her entire life, at least until Bob came along. Her childhood was as every normal kid’s should be, with a minor exception. Back when she was three, a hydroglistic bacteria worked its way into her immune system, causing it to weaken terribly. This affected her ability to walk, and she was rushed to the hospital. The doctors were not expecting her to survive the night.
Fortunately, she did. After that, she reserved herself from the other schoolchildren, wearing long-sleeved shirts and skirts to keep herself protected. The other kids often made fun of her weird appearance…at least until Jenna came along. Jenna was and is Taylor’s best friend. It was thanks to her that Taylor was able to emerge from her shell, and become who she is today. The two remained friends for a long time, even up through high school. It was there that Taylor first met David, her one true love. The two of them maintained a very steady relationship, up to their first two years in college.
On one very unfortunate May 18th, in the year 2009, Taylor made the biggest mistake of her life, marking a HUGE turning point. It was her birthday…and it was also the date of Dave’s murder. Thanks to an accidental slip, Taylor ended up stabbing Dave, watching him die before the paramedics could even make it to the restaurant where they had been for Taylor’s birthday dinner. The police dragged the distraught girl from the scene, and she was sentenced to life in prison, without any possibility of parole. Three months later, as luck works in strange ways, a certain gay unicorn was banished from his home, and ended up finding himself in Chicago. He strayed across Taylor’s path, and at first, Taylor believed she was hallucinating, until the other prisoners proved otherwise. Eventually, Bob got her out of jail, and they ended up going on the run, with Taylor as a wanted fugitive. At first, the two weren’t the best of friends, but as time passed, Bob and Taylor became comfortable in each other’s company, especially after attaining their jobs as assassins.
One day, Taylor and Bob came across a strange looking letter, which seemed to have been placed rather deliberately in their path. The pair read the letter, and once they had finished, gave each other strange looks. The two then grinned at each other, one knowing exactly what the other was thinking. Hotel Cavalier could be the answer to their troubles, and they wouldn’t have to run away anymore.
III. sample post(From Tumblr) Taylor raised a brow, looking at the three confusedly. “Well, this is…awkward.” she stated. The last thing she could remember was Chicago. She was…who was she with?
Whoever it was, they had been shopping or something…it hurt her head to think about what they were even doing. And now, she was here in some land called Avalon, and there was a sorta cute faerie dude staring her in the face, and two unicorns by his side, saying that they were her friends too, and that her name was Taylor.
The name sounded familiar enough. But everything else wasn’t registering. “Okay…so you’re Puck, the unicorn with the pink hair is Bob, and the smaller one is Sophia? Is that right?” Taylor asked. “Yes, y’all! But y’all have to remember more than that!” Bob exclaimed, eyes wide with worry. The exclamation earned him a swift hoofslap in the mouth, as Sophia stared him down. “Yelling isn’t going to help, brother.” Sophia said, narrowing her eyes. “Taylor… can you tell us anything? Can you remember anything at all?” Sophia asked.
The brunette shook her head. “Nope. All I remember is what I was doing before I landed here. I was shopping with someone. Can’t remember who it was either. And who’s this “Oberon” you guys keep worrying about?” Taylor asked. Sophia gave a worried look to Puck. “I think her memory’s relapsed pretty far…I think she’s only remembering stuff from her past…before the…sentence.” Sophia said, the last word coming to mumble, as she referred to Taylor’s jail time.
“Uh…if it’s any help to you guys, Bob looks a little familiar. At least I remember knowing someone with pink hair.” Taylor said, furrowing her brows. This was all hurting her head too much, as she leaned backwards again to lay down.
Hey…at least the cute guy was holding her hand.
